Desk Organization Update

So...I've been quite busy and quite lazy all at the same time!  Busy cleaning and decrapifying. (Thanks Sarah @ Thrifty Decor Chick for that word...love it!) But too lazy to blog about anything.  So my last post about my desk/office, I cleaned out my filing cabinet and removed all the crap from the top of my desk. 


Well, I finished purging all my files!  I had a bunch of papers to shred.  This is only half of them!!

I bought some really cute file folders at Target and some cute hanging files from Walmart!

So much more room!

There are 2 photo boxes in the back of the drawer.  One holds the owner's manuals and the other holds memorabilia from different trips I've taken.

Remember how I wasn't sure how I was going to hid these cords?

Well, I moved my cork board from the wall and leaned it against the wall.  Perfect!

I bought a frame that holds several pictures and hung it where the cork board was.  It will soon be filled with pictures from my NYC trips.  I also hung my "R" that's been laying around the house....for.ev.er!

Spray painted this little bucket I got from the Target dollar section for my pens.

So much better...I'm loving this space!!

We sang songs.  We opened presents. I love these three! Man is it hard to get a picture of all of them together! My parents made each of us a cupcake tower!  Can't wait to use it! I had a quiet Christmas Eve and morning with just my parents! Candlelight Christmas Eve service  We went to see the sunset at my parents' new house! Niece Weekend

Originally posted 7/22/13 It's Monday and my life is about to get C-R-A-Z-Y because it's almost back to school time!  But don't worry...it's the kind of crazy I like!  My classroom is clean and I get to go in and start setting it up today.  This is kind of my favorite part. It's been a long but fun weekend!  I kept my nieces while my brother and sister-in-love went to a conference in Florida!  We had a fun-filled weekend that started off with the children's museum. And of course, we made cookies before bed because that's what Aunt Rachel does! We had playtime at the mall in the kid's play area! On Sunday....it rained most of the day so we had a relaxing day indoors!  We had a great time...I just love being an Aunt!!

November Happenings

Originally Posted: 11/27/13 Have you missed me?  Well, I've missed you!  I've been in a little funk lately, both personally and professionally, but there's just something about time off that reboots your system!   So here's what I've been up to the last couple of weeks! Our third grades did a fantastic job at the Veteran's Day performance! We made some Thanksgiving themed multiplication problems.  We camouflaged butterflies in Science!  I hung out with my favorite girls! And I started decorating for Christmas!!   I probably won't be back around here until Sunday or so...I'll be spending the weekend with family and shopping! Have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving!!
